REVISED DSL FILTER STANDARD RELEASED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT PUBLIC COMMENT 2/12/2008 Communications Alliance Ltd invites public comment on the following draft Standard. Requirements for DSL Customer Equipment for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network Part 1: General (AS/ACIF S041.1:2008) Part 2: Modems for use in connection with all DSL services (DR AS/ACIF S041.2:2008) Part 3: Filters for use in connection with all ADSL services (DR AS/ACIF S041.3:2008) PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD CLOSES AT 5.00 P.M. ON FRIDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2009 The draft Standard proposes technical requirements for Customer Equipment designed or intended for connection to a broadband (DSL) service that shares the customer’s telephone line with a PSTN service. The revision brings the Standard in line with ADSL services being offered by Australian broadband service providers and has been restructured as a multi-part Standard to streamline the compliance testing of ADSL modems and ADSL splitters/filters. Mobile Premium Services Industry Code (DR C637:2008) Mobile Premium Services Industry Guideline (DR G638:2008) PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD CLOSES AT 5.00 P.M. ON FRIDAY 12 DECEMBER 2008 The draft Code sets out obligations on suppliers to establish appropriate community safeguards in the provision of Mobile Premium Services. The Code specifies minimum requirements on advertising, provision of information, service delivery, complaint handling and opt-out mechanisms. Accompanying the Code is a Guideline designed to aid in interpreting the Code rules and provide examples of how a Supplier can comply with the rules. Media Release
