ACIF C559:2003 Part 1 ULLS Performance Requirements (440 KB)

ACIF C559:2003 Part 2 Spectral Compatability Determination Process (427 KB)

ACIF C559:2003 Part 3 Requirements for Deployment Class Systems (337 KB)

ACIF C559:2003 defines the performance requirements for DSL and other technologies on copper access network. The Code offers a coordinated approach to reduce the risk of interference between services deployed over access networks.

ACIF first published the Unconditioned Local Loop Service (ULLS) Network Deployment Rules Industry Code in August 2001. On the advice of the Network Reference Panel, the ACIF executive made some corrections in March 2002 to Part 3 of this Industry Code for clarity of and consistency between the definitions of Deployment Classes. The Code was revised in 2003 to include in the Code the facility for use of a modified Crosstalk Calculation Template where a Non-deployment Class System is obtained by a linear filtering of the transmit PSD of a Deployment Class System, without any change to the line code plus some agreed changes to Benchmarks based on industry experience.

There is also a list of Non-Deployment Class Systems that may be of interest to anyone using ACIF C559:2003. Refer to ACIF C559:2003 for information on what is a Non-Deployment Class System. Refer to ACIF G618:2004 Approval of Non-Deployment Class Systems Industry Guideline for information on the process to propose a Non-Deployment Class System.
