Communications Alliance and Communications Day today announced the shortlisted nominees for the prestigious 2007 ACOMM Awards. Nominations for this year’s awards, which closed at the end of May, have been under consideration by the Awards Shortlist Committee for the past week.
Communications Alliance CEO, Anne Hurley, said ‘the shortlist Committee was delighted by the calibre of the nominations. Both corporate and residential users alike are benefiting from increased access to a greater variety of services. In the light of such widespread achievement it has been difficult to narrow the nominations into the 25 shortlisted individuals and organisations being announced today’.
Commenting on the shortlist, Chief Editor of Communications Day, Natalie Apostolou, said ‘the announced finalists are all deserving of our praise. Their accomplishments have set them apart from their industry peers’.
The task of selecting the nine award winners from the announced finalists will be undertaken by a second judging panel. Panel members include Grahame Lynch, Publisher of Decisive Publishing, Noel Robertson, an experienced industry executive, Malcolm Alder Partner with KPMG, Sheryle Moon, CEO of AIIA, Natalie Apostolou, Chief Editor of Communications Day and Anne Hurley, CEO of Communications Alliance.
Award winners will be announced at the Communications Alliance Annual Dinner on 19 July in Sydney. The dinner has been kindly sponsored by Telstra Wholesale, AAPT and KPMG. Tickets for the event are available from www.commsalliance.com.au/the_acomm_awards.
