White Noise Launch - communications regulation in 2015
Baker & McKenzie invites CA Members to the launch of the second edition of White Noise: An Overview of Current Issues Facing the Australian Communications Sector. In its second edition, White Noise is a print and eBook publication released by Baker & McKenzie in conjunction with leading legal content provider LexisNexis.
With the sector facing many technological and policy challenges ahead in 2015, it is critical for participants to remain up to date on the regulatory and policy environment. White Noise provides a single, comprehensive but concise reference point in these changing times.

Paul will focus on the economic importance of communications, the various constraints that are holding back that potential, and the key priorities for the Government in the sector.
- ‘Key regulatory issues in 2015’ - John Stanton, CEO, Communications Alliance
John will present on the Communication Alliance's perspective on the year ahead. He will comment on the industry's position on some of the important regulatory proposals currently under consideration.
- 'Trending issues in communication regulation for 2015’ - James Halliday, Partner, Baker & McKenzie
James will give an overview of trends in communications regulation for the year ahead with reference to White Noise.
This session will cover key lookouts for carriers and industry players in 2015 including in relation to the new data retention scheme and the continued rollout of the NBN.
