WC05 Satellite CE Working Committee

Description

The terms of reference of the Satellite CE Working Committee are:

(i) to develop requirements for Satellite CE by expanding the scope of AS/ACIF S042.1:2006 Requirements for connection to an air interface of a telecommunications network — Part 1: General to include Satellite CE; and
(ii) to specify the general terminal compatibility requirements for non-interference interworking for Satellite CE including emergency calling requirements, maximum sound pressure limits for telephony and safety including flammable atmosphere labelling requirements, noting that output powers of Satellite CE may be greater than those for mobile handsets.
