Telecommunications Consumer Protection (TCP) Code Review Steering Group

Description

The TCP Code Review Steering Group is to oversee the review and revision of the Telecommunications Consumer Protection (TCP) Code and Guideline.

The role of the Steering Group is to:

  1. consider public comment on the Issues Paper that will be circulated;
  2. recommend, or otherwise, the revision of the Code;
  3. approve the Project Plan for the Revision of the Code and Guideline;
  4. set the Terms of Reference for the Revision, to include a reassessment of the overall structure of the Code;
  5. define the working procedures for the Working Committees established to review each chapter of the Code and Guideline;
  6. provide guidance to the Working Committees;
  7. review draft outputs and approve revised/new content for submission to Communications Alliance Board for approval to publish, noting that the Board cannot change the content of the Code and Guideline;
  8. provide first level dispute resolution for the Working Committees; and
  9. endeavour to operate via consensus.
